I like the gun metal gray for body color. I would do the baldwin stripes in a light silver with a black pinstripe. with a phantom flame job in the stripes.

Do you have a cowled or raised hood?

With the dark color carbon fiber accents would look really trick.

If you have the money maybe have the baldwin stripes painted to look like carbon fiber.

What color or type of rims you going for? What color is interior?

I have a stock hood but will have a hilborn intake through the hood. right now the car's got keystone klassics, i repainted the black backgrounds and polished the chrome so they mostly look like new, but im looking at buying a set of n90 wheels from a member on here. the interior will be black, im most likely getting the scat procar sportsman seats so i could get black with grey insert to match pretty well.
i was actually thinking of using some carbonfiber in the interior. I'm cheap so I can't go too crazy, but I can get real carbon fiber for pretty cheap, and also the fake vinyl i've used a few times.
I'm also painting the car myself so that can't be too crazy either, but the carbonfiber stripe would be sweet! even if it is a little rice

Does anybody have any idea what kind of paint was used on 79 z28's. I've heard of so many types of paint, 2-stage-base/clear, acrylic enamel, and on and on...Can someone point me in the right direction.....
