So I got banned (1 month) on Corvette Forum for this post because they dont condoan "street racing".... Ive been on there for 5 years and have 4500 posts, I know the rules and this post was totally tounge in cheek. It was by no means a "race". For crying out loud..... It was on I-25 and most folks are travelling at 80-85 anyway, the limit is 75.
So Ive had my Z06 for a couple of years and before this one I had another Z06. My wife always hated the short shifter cause she has trouble getting into gears.
Today I finally got her to drive the car. She did great. Were cruising up the highway and we come up on a blue convertible 350Z. I said to her, "those are quick little cars". We pass the 350Z at about 65 and here it comes up beside us. I look over and its a blonde woman looking over at us smiling.
My wife hammers down a bit and next thing I know the 350Z is back!! Oh no... my wife drops a gear to 4th and were racing down the highway. Im starting to panic... I see 90mph on the speedo I told her to slow down.... right about then the 350Z slowed to exit on the off ramp. She slowed down, I lowered my window, (really dark tint) and waved to the blonde and she waved back with a big smile!
Seems my wife and the woman in the 350Z had a great time... me, I loved to see my wife having fun, but I believe I have a few more gray hairs than I did before.
