Recently installed a small block in a '79 and initially, when just turning the engine over several times without spark plugs in the block (to circulate and get oil moving) the fuel pump leaked fuel. The pump had been dry for a long time prior to this run. Not exactly sure where the leak was coming from, could'nt find any evidence of lines leaking and suspected the pump 'seam' was where it was coming from. Wiped down real good and turned over a while longer to try to find the leak again and never saw it again. I started the engine, not long after and ever since have not been able to find any leakage. Got me a bit nervous and the mileage on the 307 with a 600 Holley Edlebrock intake is terrible. Can find no evidence of fuel in the oil (suspect leak back into case of engine). Ideas ?
