Finding Seats to fit

I am new to the idea of rebuilding a car. Didn't have anyone to teach me when I was young so I figured I better learn before my kids are old enough to be taught. Ok so past the Sob story, I am having trouble finding seats for a 1980 Z28. I have searched everything from google to craigslist and have come up short every time. Why's it so hard to find them?

I live in the Fort Hood Texas area by the way.

What are you looking for?

Did you need front and back seats?

If you are willing to have them recovered and need seats, I have some mismatched sets but would have to ship them to you.

Welcome. I also have a set of seats out of a 78, all black just the driver lower section needs re upholstering and the fronts need new tracks.

I appreciate the welcome. And as for the seats I just need the front(driver and passenger side) and tracks. I purchased a set of 94 seats like an idiot not knowing they definitely do not fit. Now I am stuck with seats that don't fit. How much are you trying to sale your seats for?

Shipping could be the deal breaker for you, being that they would be coming from California.

If you find a set of seat tracks for you 80, say purchase them from FBodywarehouse, you could modify the 94 seats to work with them.

I have searched for the seat tracks as well. They have a ton of passenger side but I haven't found any driver side that arent busted. As for converting the 94's how would you go about that. Once again, Sorry for my lack of knowledge on this topic. I am in the learning phase.

If you do a search on here, there are lots of different seats in the cars, many of which have write ups. You're still going to need a set of 2nd gen tracks

Golf, yea craigslist came up empty. I really wanted to take this car back to "original" looks. I am not a big fan of "pimping" my ride and the guy I bought it from dropped 6000 on the engine and I got the entire care for half that price. As for 2nd Gen seats so new to this I am not sure what that is? I probably made myself sound ridiculous right there but at least I am being honest.

Hey stroked thanks for the welcome. As for the seats I have no clue what the 2nd gen would be. I have searched many seats and as stated above I have a set of 94 seats just need the tracks for them. Kamikaze said something about converting the seats to fit. Just so new at this I am having to turn to you guys for information on everything. Y'all have no idea how much I appreciate it too.
