If you are running Alum heads on an iron block, the heads will heat up faster then the rest of the motor. But if it stays at 180, you are just fine. And agree with everyone else. Run a heater if you drive it more than a 1/4 mile at a time.

To me, a heater is mandatory. I've seen hot humid days in summer where I need it to blow the condensation off the glass so I can see through it.
