Guys, putting the steering wheel and horn contact stuff together. I searched most of the threads here but didn't see an answer.
I have a new contact pin (the rivet-looking thing that fits down the cancel cam with spring and plastic lock mechanism). I have the correct bezel washer and cup with plastic 3-hole isolator. I've also fabricated a spacer for the 4-spoke steering wheel.
A few of the threads mentioned a shorter contact pin is the right one for this setup (4-spoke). My pin is 1" long end-to-end. I think it's too long cause my horn constantly blows when I try to assemble everything.
Does anyone know the length of the shorter pin I should be using? I can grind down the one I have.
Thank you, John

It sounds like you are putting a stock wheel on? I just put a new Grant on mine and did not use the old contact pin. If no one answers you tonight, I will measure it tomorrow and post it. On-duty tonight and not able to until then. Although, I did have the rope wheel which may not be the one you are looking for.
