How to remove dull areas on rims

What is the best way to remove dull spots on Aluminum rims?

That's going to take serious aggressive polishing. No simple wax on/wax off polish is going to clean those wheels up.

You'll need to use some type of abrasive to get through the bad areas and work it until you get it to shine.

Do those have clear coat? looks like they do and that is probably whats hazing My blazers did and I screwed up the finish way bad with my abrasive [red rubbing compound method] followed by then "lets remove the clear coat" fail :( At least I only screwed up one and its my spare now under a cover :cool:.I gave up on mine after regular auto polish didn't do much but maybe yours will clean up. Not an easy job to restore clear coated aluminum finish without completely stripping it first.

Is it a machine-turned finish on the edge and spoke faces?

Professional restoration work is about $125-150 per wheel but they will look like new.

those should be clear coated as usual. The clear is clouding up. Not sure if rubbing compound and polish will bring it back up (hell i'm not sure WHY the cloud up). Other than that...strip, blast and paint.
