Hurst Dual/Gate Shifter Installation Question?

The Hurst Dual/Gate Shifter is designed to fit in the 1973 Camaro automatic center console.The instruction diagram describes that the Shifter Top Plate mounts to the stock Hold Down Plate, which mounts to the Shifter Assembly. I am unable to locate my original "Hold Down Plate" and can not find on the Internet any mention of this part or availability. Has anyone installed this type of automatic shifter in their Camaro? Or...Does anyone know where I can locate a "Hold Down Plate" that is required for the installation? Thanks....

This is a really easy install as it just replaces your stock shifter.
The hold down plate should be the metal plate that is on top of the shifter but sits underneath the console opening. The trim plate (from Hurst), goes on top and bolts through it into the shifter itself, thereby sandwiching the console between them.

Many of us have these pieces laying around after installing an aftermarket shifter. If I can find one, I'd be willing to sell it to you...

If you can find a Hold Down Plate for me, that would be great. Let me know how much you want for it. I changed over to a 4 speed about 30 years ago and can not find my existing automatic shifter or its hardware anymore. Thanks....

Found Hold Down Plate on e-bay....

Hello Everyone, After several hours of searching, I was able to find the shifter "Hold Down Plate" I needed on e-bay. There's no one in the after market retail that I spoke to, who stocks this item for resale.
