Making headliner bows

Hey Everyone,

Has anyone tried to make their own headliner bows. If so, what gauge/size was the rod?

Yes I only had one original rod so I took it to Lowes and matched one up with rod they had, then cut them to the same length. If you don't have a rod you could bring a bow clip with you. Just remember the clip shouldn't fit too tight because there will be a layer of cloth from the headliner pocket around the rod when you install. The rods come in 4 ft lengths iirc so you can just progressively shorten them til they just fit in the roof pockets while following the curve of the roofline. Hope this helps.
