Would I regret the hobart 140?
I'm not sure what your expectations are for this lil welder, but I don't regret buying mine. Tips, nozzles, liners, gun, drive wheels, etc..are all easy to find consumables...even tractor supply, harbor freight, northern tool, lowe's home depot....all carry many of these parts in stock on the shelf. Any LWS will have these parts as they fit a bunch of different welders(miller and hobart)

I have the Hobart 140 and love it. I bought mine in 2006 and have not had any probs with it at all. I have ran many 10 lb spools of wire through it and welded just about everything you can think of from sheet metal to frames to roll cages, etc.

I rented the lincoln 140 yesterday to plug weld the apron on my son's BMW the welder was set up with flux core (ugh!) and didn't advance very well from spool to tip. A friend has the Hobart 140 that works flawlessly.
