Does anyone reproduce the '70-'78 upper dash? I replaced the lower dash in my '78 this weekend. (Didn't know I had to remove the entire dash assembly to do it.) So I remove the upper dash (it was a real b*tch!) only to discover that it was warped bad and the previous owner used silicone, construction adhesive and a few critically placed screws to hold the warped areas down. Needless to say, when I re-installed everything, I couldn't get the upper dash to look right. The gap between the vinyl dash and the metal dash looks horrible. In the process of removing the upper dash, the guage mounting tabs got busted ( a common problem I'm sure) So, to shorten an already long story, I need to find either a repro upper dash or an unwarped original. And by the way, when I do get an unwarped dash, will it still be so damn hard to install? It took me all weekend and I woke up this morning sore in places I didn't know I had!

The dash pad can be had from a number of places (National Parts Depot, Original Parts Group, Year One, Classic Industries, Momentum). It's gonna run you 275.00 give or take. I've been real happy with the parts, service and prices I've gotten at Camaros and Classics. The gauge tabs can be repaired fairly easily with metal strips and JB weld. Good luck.
