Power steering box/Steering line

Im wanting to clean up my power-steering line and box,What is the best way to detail it out and also add the correct-black paint?

I just simply took a drill and wire brush to it and it cleaned up and looked new. Mine was not black, it was grey metal color like your spindles.

The only portion that was black was the top cover, which I think is Aluminum and it polished up like chrome for me. Looks good.
