I have 350 SB in my 78 Z28 with around 300 HP,looking for a good quality header that fits good. Have edelbrock alum E street heads.
Looked at summit headers SUM-G9001-9 For $250 and hedman headers 68278 for $335. The hedmans seem a real heavy duty do i need that much?
Or should i stick with the summits? And are these good quality
Thanks for the help

I've heard great things from headman headers, I have almost the exact set up but my 78 is a 4speed manual so I went with Dynatech I mocked them up and they fit like a glove all I need now is someone to weld my exhaust system up

From lessons learned ..its always good to get quality headers, they'll last longer, fit better. And you wont have to deal with getting a new set every other 6years or so because they keep rusting

I also have a 4 speed manual, tell me more about the dynatechs?

I was told to go with a quality ceramic header to avoid leaks and life expectancy, but i want them to fit as well.
Thanks

Find a nice heavy gauge set of headers that fit nice . Then have them Cermichromed the will last a long time. I have a set Doug Thorley Big Tube hedders on my 79 Z-28. My car has a supercharged small block Chevy.I run in the 15 lbs + range.I want it breath and not leak. mine is also a four speed car.

I have the ceramic coated Flo techs on my 78 Z 4spd and love them. I believe they were $299. If you have the bones for it I'd go with Headman Elite, I hear there's no comparison between these and others.

I just bought a set of the hedman elite ceramic coated headers for my 70. They came well recommended for fit and quality. Can't wait to get the new motor in to see how they do.
