steering colum demolition

I've got the thing stripped down past the key housing outter shell. How do you remove the rest? I don't see anymore bolts. I've got to take it all the way down to tighten the tilt nuckle, and remove all the sand from the previous owners blast job.

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGG, I hate special tools. Do they press out (Can I use a slide hammer with threaded insert?)

Yes they are a press fit, you should be able to use a slide hammer if that is all you have. They realy aren't held in by much pressure, so a couple of pulls and they should come right out. The bottom does have another spring, so just be aware of this when you are taking the pins out.
