Starting Info.
Car: 1980 Z28 Completely bone stock.
Engine: LM-1 350.
Currently under going a rebuild and I received some free parts. So it frees up my money to try something.
1. Will retrofit roller lifters work with any roller cam or do they need to be specifically matched. Do I need a retro-fit cam to go with my retro-fit lifters. Also would brand matching matter? I can't seem to find too much Information on lifters unfortunately.
2. When does seat to seat time occur? How would I figure out how many degrees from exact open to exact close? Would I have to get the manual, give the cam makers a call or...what?
Overall thinking Howards or Edelbrock for cam. If you guys have recommendations on brands as well I'd like to know
.
The parts I got are these I believe as I will see em tuesday.
Edelbrock Air-gap intake manifold part #7501

and a holley 650 double pumper I believe. Not entirely too sure on this one.
