I have the ES motor and tranny mounts with a TH350 and the tranny mount DOES cause my header flanges to make contact with the floor  I have not experienced any vibration though. WTF was ES thinking when they made these tranny mounts? I'm very happy with the motor mounts however.

Sounds like the wrong mount was sent or ordered. 1/2 of an inch is quite a bit to be off. May have been too much pinion angle after that and caused the vibration.

pushing the tranny moutn up hgalf a inch would throw off your pinion angle by a few degrees atleast. this would give you vibrations at certain rpms either when accelerating or engine braking.

i had a bad driveshaft cause a vibration before, it was severe and it was a new shaft. the denny's unit took care of that though.

I thought the same thing....especially when the motor mounts didn't fit. I went to the web page, and saw they actually have 2 different motor mounts. The kit specked for the 71 Camaro was incorrect upon arrival (even though the web page clearly showed Summit gave me the correct kit). I needed the motor mount that was 2 5/8" wide to fit over the motor mount stand. I called Summit and explained, they sent me a kit with the correct motor mounts...and it had the exact same tansmission mount in it:eek: , which was the only one I saw on the Chevrolet section of the web page (IIRC).

Great responses, guys. General consensus at this point would be that it is generally not a problem for automatic trannies. Manual, however....

I used to have a pair of energy suspension motor mounts along with my tight fitting block hugger headers that wrapped in and under my engine. Let me tell you the melting point of these motor mounts is not that high as they ended up in a pile of goop in my driveway. lol

Great so the vibration I have been fighting may just be a mount? I have a super T-10 and I think I do remember it being taller but the mount I replaced was in 2 pieces so I thought it was just wear. May have to change it and see. Has a bad vibration at 3000-3500 or 60-65 mph.
