besides the usual trim tag and build sheet? I have always thought that maybe, just maybe my RS is an RS/SS..The car does not have the original engine in it nor does the cowl tag state it is an RS or SS. It was built in Norwood. The car has the bigger sway bar up front and the welded rear sway bar in the back. When i bought the car there were no RS lettering anywhere in the original fenders. The original rear lights have the chrome accents. The bright package was on the car but i had to replace rusty doors. The car is an automatic so that might tell me it wasnt an SS and it did have air conditioning at one point. The wipers are hidden wipers. is it just a guessing game at this point? Im sure one of you guys might have the answer. Thanks!

It doesnt really matter at this point since the car is far from stock or original..But lets just say you bought a 71 Camaro and thought it was a plain jane and later on you found the buildsheet and found out it was a Z-28..What would your reaction be?? Would your reaction be "Oh damn i was hoping it wasnt a Z-28!":( or would your reaction be "ALRIGHT!!!!!"

I'd be stoked!!!

It happend to me,

I bought a 70 (wrecked...bad) supposedly Z28. It had the signs of a real one even the gas pedal mounted to the floor. But when I found the build sheet on top of the gas tank, it made the bent metal worth what I paid for it and I quickly got my 3K back uppon selling it.
I then bought a plain jane so I could do what I want with it.

If you find the build sheet you will know what you have. Until then enjoy it for what its worth......To you

If it's a 1971 or 72 Norwood built SS car it should have the Z27 code on the cowl tag, a big block car would also have the LS3 code.... Hidden wipers and bright trim are standard with RS option.
A 1970 Norwood built car did NOT have the Z27 code but did have a 12 bolt rear axel.
