The swap is very easy if you have the GM assembly manual. In that manual they have each section of the wiring harness detailed out for routing and hookup. They also have the schematics laid out.

What harness are you useing? If you use the Painless harness its a breeze. Just lay it all out before you connect any of the wires. Ive installed 1 in a 1980 Trans Am and Im installing 1 in my 71 camaro.

like camaro said...if painless take your time and they are a breeze. i have one in my lemnas, piece of cake. bought some hotrodders deal for the camaro and the wiring schematic was a little off. but i used my painless diagram for it...all colors the same for the gm wires. i would have a old battery to hook up to, to check circuits. you might have to recharge it but at least you are not putting strain on your new battery. that really helped me. i had an old harley battery from my roadking. it was small and you could just set it on the rad support. also get a test light.
i relayed my front lights and aux. fan and my driving lights. so you might want to get some extra relays. heat shrink is also helpful as is a heat gun. remember that if you have a problem with a circuit 9 outa 10 times it will be a GROUND ISSUE.
