Hi all!

I ordered an after-market patch panel (lower rear quarter) that has a wrinkle in the metal.
Got this to have on hand for future repair work, that I would get an auto body shop to do, but I don't know if this kind of wrinkle is normal for these patch panels, and something that could be, or would be, smoothed out at installation, or a defective part that I should try and have replaced?

Screw that file a credit card dispute if they give you a run around that’s terrible

Dude! You're just asking to be banned from business with that practice. Just order another one and send back that one. Like people keep preaching here, overseas repop metal isnt that great, but folded metal does wrinkle. Where does that side all? It looks like it can be hammered out by a body man.

Normal or Defect?
I would call it a "normal defect" for a reproduction patch panel.

You can order a different one but don't expect it to look much different.

I worked with a repop patch panel for the lower quarter, ahead of the wheel... once.

It had to be worked flatter in that area along with a bit of body filler to make it look right.

The circled areas have a sloppy radius compared the the rest of it.

On mine, the radius was tightened (hammer work) after it was welded into place.
