Z28 fender emblem help.

71 Z28 fender emblem came off while I was wiping the car down. Rather than pulling the fender off or prying it out and trying to replace the speed-nuts has anyone tried an adhesive.
I have some 3M Press-In-Place 8069 Adhesive and was wondering if anyone has had success using this product? I don't want to use double sided tape for obvious reasons. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I used the 3M press in place adhesive on one of my fender emblems. Fell off after several months. I was planning to use this stuff on my tail light panel type LT molding strips, but after that experience, I couldn’t risk one of my un-obtainable molding strips falling off.

Holding out for something better.

heck, try that gorrila glue. if it falls off they aint "that" bad to replace.

I replaced mine after the car was painted by removing the lower bolts and inner fender bolts then using a piece of wood, it held the lower fender open enough to slide my hand up and install the speed nuts. Do it right.

that's the old body man trick for pass side to do heater blower also. Works! block o wood.
