I was looking for some affordable hub stands to make it a little easier for my fat azz to set toe on my Blazer and came across these kits. I figured someone else here might be interested. I was drawn to the design because it allows the plate to pivot with the camber angle. All the other affordable pieces were solid and would either have to flex or not allow the suspension to settle and allow you to read camber correctly (imo)

I bought a pair with the toe plate, I'll post back up what I think of them once received and put together. If you are interested in buying a set please note they are excluded from the free shipping :(

I have no affiliation with them at all, just thought it might be something helpful to people here.

A video on putting them together:

They're on and working but I'm not sure it's 100% right. I'm guessing the calipers are low friction but IMO, they allow the pads to pull back a little too much when released. I need to look into it further while I have it back up on stands. The Blazer is down while I rework the front suspension so it's the perfect time to see if I can figure it out. The control arms I ordered on on back order until next month so I should have the time :)

Hub stands are welded and painted, now just waiting on the back ordered parts from Speedway to see if they are all I hopped for.

Well I got strung out and disappointed by Speedway motors. I went cheap and ordered their tubular control arms. Uppers are on indefinite back order and I tried to fit the lower today. The spread on them is 1/4+ short. After dealing with them for more than a month I finally had enough and returned them and cancelled the uppers. I hope Global West is all it's talked up to be. I ordered Dlel-A-Lum lower bushings and upper control arms from them today. I hope they were actually in stock. Jegs and Summit have them listed to ship in two months. I ordered from Global's website and they didn't say anything about a delay to ship. Fingers crossed.

Oof. I just made a similar gamble with offset heims from Kryptonite and they were here in 2 days! So sometimes it works out.

Yeah, Global West stuff will be here today. I had an email from them 20 minutes after they opened on Monday giving me a status on availability. Speedway should learn from them.
