Dude, I still love that wagon!!!Got the trim on & did some cutting & buffing. The picture looks WAY better than it actually is, lol. I sanded the clear with 2000 grit, then cut it, then polished it. I've never had much luck with that, but I started with a spray can, so... Looks better than it did. I'll have to print off some pics of the rust & the window caulk that was all around it before, to show people when they ask what the he!! happened around the rear glass? View attachment 213267
Im an only child, I always say thats why I have a Station Wagon fetish, lol. One of my childhood friends had a big family, so I rode in their wagons some, but we never owned one cause we didnt need one. Mine only has 2 seats, but i think that was a big thing for the Olds Vista Cruiser & the Buick Sportwagon, they came out in 1964 & I've seen advertisements where they act like their the 1st ones to have the 3rd seat facing forward. Idk for sure tho, and the gates that drop or swing are from the 70s. I know the Impala wagons from the early 70s do that. Not sure if any of the BOPs do or not.Dude, I still love that wagon!!!
Never thought I would say that after riding in them in the 70s. Very back seat facing backwards. Some had the gate that would drop or swing... Right?

Here's an ad for the Vista Cruiser talkin about that 3rd row seat facing forward.
Man that is a really Good Job, I know how much work it takes to get to that point. Paint cost is killing most guys project . Be proud when people ask who painted it for You, I did. LOLGot the 2nd coat of clear on the car, which gave the stripes coat #1. Today I will shoot the 3rd coat for the car, 2nd for the stripes, and then I'm calling it good.
I'm happy with how the clear laid out...in the last pic you can clearly see the wrinkles in the white stripes of the US flag I have hanging on the wall...this is my smoothest clear job yet. Not too shabby for a a "garage" painter, huh?
