I saw a good one last week where Beaver got a magic 'disappearing coin' box and was doing tricks with it. Him and Larry tried to pull one over on Bengie, the little kid who rarely made an appearance on the show.

Larry takes a blanket and puts it in front of Beaver, then tells Bengie he was going to make Beaver disappear. Beaver crawls into a storage box behind them to hide. Larry lets down the blanket. Bengie sees Beaver is gone, but then looks down at the ground and sees a big rock, so he thinks Larry changed Beaver into the rock. 😆

Episode is called Beaver the Magician. Found a screenie from it, with Bengie holding the rock, after him and his Mom go over to the Cleaver's house to try and figure out what was going on...

Honestly - it's just different stuff that people are offended by now.
Back than it was unacceptable to depict:
A married couple sharing a bed
Belly button's
An interracial kiss
Women wearing pants
Homosexual's of any sort
Showing a toilet on camera
Women using the word "Pregnant"
Any mention of divorce.

People find things to be offended by in any era
Today there's even the gay version..."Leave it, it's Beaver".

Honestly, I don't think it was so much producers worrying about what offended who as it was keeping programming clean and wholesome.

I think the whole PC movement is, and always has been a load of crap...from DAY 1. If I say something that offends someone? Tough. Go have a good cry and get over it. I do NOT care that everyone has tissue paper thin feelings. That's not my problem. It's theirs.

I get the derogitory terms when used in a negative way but it's amazing how the context changes per the user. Yeah we can move on and some should do better but forcing the issue just makes it worse.

We cut the cord back in 2010, so have only had OTA TV since then. We really don't watch much TV. If I watch the Beave tho, it's on an over the air station, MeTV. Have never seen a viewer discretion warning of old TV shows on that channel. Took a pic this morning when LITB came on. G rating baby! (excuse the reflection of the patio door blinds in the bottom right)
