How about a bell housing

You guys were a big help. I ordered an 11" clutch and flywheel 168 tooth. Last thing I need to get is a bellhousing connecting the M20 to the 81 Camaro 350. Any idea what bellhousings will work?

The 11" bell housings are very, very expensive used. I used the very readily available heavy truck bell housing I got on ebay for $39 (bolts right up to SBC and sagniaw/muncie/T10 but the center register hole that locates the input shaft housing on the trans, is too large) and then a conversion ring that fits around the input shaft housing from Novak Conversions.

My guess is that a 621 housing is what I need, and yes they are expensive. am I right?
as for the novak coversio ring, I can't seem to locate it on the Novak site.

look for number 460486, that is the 12" truck bellhousing, and then get the ring. search google for novak adapter ring and it'll come up. its hard to find on their site.

Hey, if you have to buy a bellhousing anyways, BUY a Scattershield from Mcleod or Lakewood (preferably Mcleod). Im just saying what I would do...Look at above post: $200 for a repro 621...For a little more coin, you be safer and happier.

Good luck!

I never looked at the First Gen Camaro. I know all the Second Gen 70-74 Z28 and SS had the big clutch with the exception of the 72 SS350 which might have been the small one already.

The 72 SS had a 168 tooth flywheel with a 10.4 clutch.
