Little update.
After about 5 hours of fun i finally got the transmission bolted up to the motor. Now that i know how the flex plate and spacer kit works ill never put an engine and trans in separately.
Laying on gravel twisting and turning isnt fun but i know it could be worse.

Love the Montys. Had a 76. Always want a 70 SS.
IIrc 70 ss 3800 built and 71 ss 1919 no 72s

I would trade my camaro for one too.:)

IF I ever decide to get something else id only get rid of it for a 70-73 camaro or another 1970 chevelle, but will definitely consider a mopar.

Nice car, GL with the build and keep us posted. I have a 72 camaro but not completed yet.
a MC with modern muscle or a nice done 454 would be tempting.
have fun with it and make it your own.

I will be following your progress for sure! I'm going LS in my 71 Camaro which will be a daily driver as well. I always figured cars were meant to be driven first.

Im sure you've done research but if you have a question definitely ask. I planned an ls swap in a 73 camaro i had over a year ago then i planned the ls swap thats in this monte to go into the 78 camaro i just traded for this monte a few weeks back. So i know quite a bit as far as parts needed and what will/wont work with all the research ive been doing for the past year +. But they're are plenty on here that are way more knowledgeable that have already done the swap.

Mini update.

Last week i found out that you cant use a truck windage tray with car oil pan.
Long story short i had to take the oil pan off and take the windage tray off. I chose to keep it off. Some are against it but others like me see nothing wrong with it so form your own opinion its my car lol

Picked up these seats Saturday for the Monte for an unbelievable price they are Complete original 1965 GTO seats. I put them up for sale/trade in the swap meet section just to see if i can make some money to pick up some newer model seats or a set of wheels but most likely ill be using them. Ill just need to get the monte seat tracks so they can bolt up directly to my original bucket seat brackets on the floor. The brackets on theses seats (the original pontiac ones) are wider than my Montes.
