My car doesn't have a wiper motor, and I haven't had a chance to look real close, but I saw in one of my reference books that ALL Type LTs had hidden wipers. Is this right? And where is the best place to buy a replacement motor?

I bought mine from Pepboys through Ebay, price was good and no core charge. I can't say if the LT was std with hidden wipers, but easy to tell by the firewall bracket and the wipers themselves. Does your car have a adapter plate bolted to the firewall?

Yes it has an adapter plate on the firewall. 20180324_121912.jpg

So, hidden or not?
Thanks!

Has ANYONE, EVER SEEN a 1970-1981 Camaro or Firebird WITHOUT hidden wipers ??? I believe every last one of them had them. I bought a 1970 Z-28 brand new and it had them. Maybe they were referring to the "early" 1970 cars that were really 1969 Camaros (because of the GM Strike at that time)

Lots of the 70-76 Camaros came without hideaway wipers. After that, hideaway wipers became standard equipment. I don't know about Firebirds as they offered different options from Camaro.
