Well I can assume they changed by 77, as yours is larger than what the AM shows, which matches my 74.

You could also check other maybe earlier cars And like the others make your own , I would some anti-theft bolts.People have sticky fingers you know .Especially with custom plates .I almost had the front plate stolen with an IMSA nose.

In the meantime here is a bit of info. I used a plastic plate bracket from Amazon, affixed it to a smaller flat steel plate with two threaded studs welded to it to mount to the bumper.

and a silicone surround for the plate itself.

Then used a piece of short rubber hose over the threaded studs to get the alignment of the plate flush with the (non-original) rub strip on the bumper.

Here's a picture of the original one I took off my '74 years ago,

Michigan doesn't require front license plates anymore, so I just put two chrome bolts in the holes in the bumper.
