Hi
my 307 has a 2BBL holley carb on it.... i've seen a camaro for sale, here, in Argentina, and the owner installed a Rochester Quadrajet 4BBL on it.......
The question i have is ......
Is there any performance difference installing a 4BBL over a 2BBL on a relative very small block as the 307 is ????
is it worh the effort to convert from a 2BBL to a 4BBL on a standard 307...or it will require modifications on the engine itself to take advantage of the new power ??
Seeing the CFM formula, 356 CFM will be enough food to get the engine properly running...... so what is the purpose of installing a 4bbl ???? Does the engine could "EAT" the new amount of fuel mixture, or it will simply eat the needed fuel ( say, 356 CFM as much), and then miss-use all the power of this 4BBL ???
As long as i know, i think the 4BBL is not appropiate for a 307.... are i right ????
I've a Standard 71 Camaro with a 3.08 rear, a 4-speed saginaw and a very standard 307 engine
