My sway bar bracket holes are 3 1/2" and the bolt holes on the sub frame are 2 3/4". My sub frame is out of a 70 SS, is the Z/28 bigger? I have a 72 T/A in my shop and it has bracket that will bolt right on. The T/A has a 1 1/4" dia. sway bar and the one I have is 1".

I run 1 1/4 front and 7/8 rear bar in my 1979 Z-28 RS. I use a Global West greaseable front bar and rear bar .With a Herb Adams rear brackets .They are a lot stronger than stock .

Those should be fine for stock applications with rubber bushings, but if you go bigger the aftermarket ones will work better , Because there are more variety and adjustability as well .A good luck to you.

Don't forget to check for rust. Never seen it but, they say the bolts can get pulled out while doing spirited driving. I welded nuts to the inside of the frame for this reason.
