Out with the old (dewalt) and in with the new. The chuck on the dewalt was getting worse and worse, to replace the chuck costs as much as a new drill. Throw in I got burnt on the last dewalt batteries I bought being fake and not lasting very long I have decided to migrate to HF.
Plus the fact when I tried to replace a craftsman tool at lowes I had to give them my drivers license and be interrogated for 20 min. I can't imagine trying to return a dewalt to them. At least HF is the old school "I have a broken tool and want it replaced", "no problem sir go grab a new one."

When I started my construction company 37 years ago, one of my 1st power tools was a Dewalt battery powered drill that came in a metal case. I was on a job in Phoenix moving a house onto it's foundation with my Ford 9000 Aero Max when I carelessly ran it over with my 14,000 Lbs. truck. I bought it two days before at the local Home Depot and went back to HD to get some other stuff and saw the same sales person in the tool department that sold it to me, I told him what happened and he told me to bring it in so he could give me a new one. I have been a Dewalt fan ever since buying dozens of various battery powered tools over the years. I have a 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" impact I use religiously in construction and automotive all the time. Sorry about this stupid spewing.

I appreciate the commentary. Dewalt is good but with HF I can go to 1 store and purchase and get warranty replacement. Dewalt not so much. I like the idea of HF that when I buy a battery I have a 3yr replacement and I don't need a receipt I don't need to take it back the store I bought it from because only 1 store sells it. HF reminds me of what craftsman USED to be.

I hear ya. I have a HF Kit, Drill/CircSaw/Light/RecpSaw, that even after sitting for a couple of years still works. I did buy additional batteries, but over time they have slowly failed. All facts considered however its lasted a good long time. I inherited a really nice Dewalt Cordless drill with 2 batteries. Sadly the batteries were junk so I sprang for the real thing and they lasted almost no time at all. So I tried the Cheap Amazon junk and they lasted a lot longer, but eventually died. I have now switched to Ryobi. I had a 100' of board fence to change out and no time for failing tools. They more than earned their keep. I ran them until the battery was dead, slammed a spare in and kept on throwing boards up. Using a Drill, an Impact Driver, and a Circular Saw, all using the same batteries. All bought when they had Ryobi Days at Home Depot. In an Industrial Environment or a Commercial Application, probably not tough enough, but doing what I do at home, they are just the ticket.

Was changing the diff fluid in my mustang and found bit of metal  Upon closer inspection the spider gears are not doing so hot.

It's in the shop should be today or tomorrow I think. I decided to take it to a shop, figuring out backlash makes my eyes roll back in my head and I don't have a press. So it's one of those things I would rather pay someone to do it.
I did replace the door panels, the fabric was coming off and they make a plastic insert, along with two of the door speakers that were old.

Looks good. I get the backlash thing. Not sure if I could wrap my head around it either. Is a lot of math. Am thinking about changing the gears in my Camaro from a 2:73 to a 308 posi. But then you have to deal with all the other stuff. It’s just been sitting for the last couple months. Got the house painted though. A little more to do in the carport but not much. Bought a cherry picker. That should be here Thursday. Also got a new paint gun, and a sanding block kit. Then I can get after it. Was wondering what your baking soda mix was for rinsing off your OSPHO? Seemed like it worked pretty good for you. Thought I’d give it a try.
