i once had the same deal with a woman i worked with. she was a hot little thing and i thought she was out of my league but i figured why not talk to her anyways. i approached her and made her laugh with some small talk one night we were working together. i asked her out the next day and she said yes. that was 25 years ago and we have been married for 22 years now. she is still a hot little thing lol. we don't have any kids but have a lot of toys which is fine with us. you got a maybe out of her. at least you know you gave it a shot and who knows, it probably isn't over yet. give it a day or so and try to talk to her again. if she blows you off it is what it is. go on to the next girl you like and try again you are still young. practice makes perfect or close to it hopefully. like the other guys said, show a bit of confidence but don't be a tool. good luck.

Maybe isn't a No. It's a maybe, you can look at it a few ways, 1. it's a maybe how did you leave it off? hey want to go out? maybe... then that's it?

2. she wants to to work for it possibly, but that can backfire on you. You can work your self all up over a maybe then she can blow you off. I tried that way once and it kind of makes you needy.

What I would do is go hang out with another chick, Young chicks don't need to chase guys, guys come to her. If you asked her out and she said maybe go looking somewhere else for a bit. Make sure she see's that your looking too.
This will put the ball back in her court. See, you asked her out and said maybe. You want to make it look like she was a choice but now because of a maybe she became an option. So she see's you sniffing other prospects she will either a. want what she can't have now and go chasing you. or b. figure you lost interest. What does that all mean? well you go snifing around another girl can backfire on you or next time she will ask how did it go with so and so? Say something like, "well I asked you but you didn't seem interested so I found someone that was." That can ignite her to either push for you or just say ok. It's really a crap shoot with girls.

Lol I work at an Amazon warehouse. Full of african americans, I believe there may be 200 total white people out of 2000. The odds were against me finding a nice attractive, white female in the building (besides HR :p) Strangely enough, I had the most attractive girl back at my place for some fun in 2 weeks of working there, she went back to her boyfriends house the next morning at 11AM. Im not a good looking guy by any circumstances, its all about keeping it cool with the small talk. and wink at her every now and then!

That didnt have anything to do with your tactics. It had to do with the girl being a slut.

Stay after it. When i was young working as part time stock boy at a grocery store this one guy just kept after this one hot cashier and finally she said yes. Some girls...though not many these days still have standards and want you to work for it a little. Ask her what she likes to do in her off time. Try and fund out her interests...that shows you want to know about her vs just wanna date based on looks.
