Im sure theres a few AK fans here. I was looking at a drum magazine today, I can get it for 50 bucks but I don't know anything about these thing. its definetly a ak mag. its got a wind up lever on the front. I didn't see any marks down the hole I didn't see anything that looks like it would push on the round but it there may be a plate inside. on the right side m,looking from the back of the gun, of the magazine. it looks like there is a spring loaded plate or door, but it doesn't look like if moves. on the back of the drum you can see a circular pattern that goes from the opening and coils smaller, like where the ammo would coil to the middle. the back also has a plastic knob about a inch in diameter I don't know if you unscrew it or what I just didn't want to and have the spring come flying out.
I have a sks sporter that takes the ak mags from the factory. If I got a different stock, the stock gets in the way of the drum, will this thing fit the mag well? and is it legal to stick a drum on a sks? thanks JIm

IIRC my buddy got one for his AK and he returned it because it has a bad design that always jams.

Don't quote me on that but he's an AK nut, and I know he doesn't have it anymore for a reason.
He's got an AK47, AK74, and he's buying the AK shotgun now.

If it's the one where the back opens up, there SHOULD be a button in the middle. This is the loading button that takes off spring tension. If the drum is already wound up, be careful pushing that button, because the button's gonna spin like crazy! Use a pair of heavy gloves. Once the tension's off, you can start loading rounds without spring tension by keeping the button pressed. Once it's all loaded, close the cover. Nice thing is that you can keep it loaded without spring tension for as long as you want without hurting the magazine. When you're ready to shoot, wind up the drum! Hope that helps.

there are 2 types.. one with no cover you need to load from the top 1 round at a time(sucks ass) or the better kind that the rear of the drum opens up.. and you just drop the rounds in.. close the cover and wind it up...(the good kind)

the one i had was a 100round(most are 75) un unloaded it non stop... no jams...

if the wind up is on the front. its a romanian. it it has a removable cover on the rear and winds from the rear its a chinese.

this is a chinese
