I want to say that Tommy is running a 315, maybe a 305 I forget but hes on here often so perhaps he'll pop up and chime in. I do know that he had his wheels widened to fit as much rubber in there as possible!

with goat power i needed extra traction. these are sumitumo 315/35/17 on a 10.5" wheel. i had the wheel widened in the inner part of the wheel and use a billet spacer to bring wheel out the desired distance from the hub to clear the fender. roughly bs is 6" on one side and 5.75" on the other. sumi's fit with as narrow as a 10" wheel. from talking to some other members that run them on there 4th gens goodyears are a lot wider physically.

is it possible to fit a 17x11 wheel with 315 with only rolling the fenders and using the hammer to make clearance?

Yes, but you REALLY have to measure and get your backspace right. I've seen it done a few times before, and it's a very tight fit depending on the tire you use. Some are slightly wider than others. Also, you're limited on how low you can go. I think Tommy got lucky, because I rarely see things go that easy being as low as his car is.

I'm running the same set up...17X11, 315-35's on the rear…17X9.5 up front with 275-40's. I'm also running the Hotchkis TVS 2" drop system. I've got about 1/2-5/8" clearance between the leaf spring and tire on the inside and no rub, at all, the wheel opening (rolled). The front has a slight rub on one side during heavy compression of the springs. I do think I'll be able to correct the front rub with re-alignment of the front sheet metal.:bowtie:

17X11 = 5.75 BS
17X9.5 = 5.50 BS

Yeah, see, every car is different. Two different cars in my area and they had the same TVS kit. BOTH had rubbing issues in the rear. One car even swapped to some Landrum springs and raised the rear up a bit.
