Very nice job Paul. Thats the way it's done. Mine was a 78 and I used it as a solo 1 car and a daily driver till it just got to radical. Most of my suspension was Gulstradn and body parts were Diversified from the IROC cars. Till I went to the Corvette box flares. The car was featured on the cover of Car Craft March 82 and went on to Hot Rod and super chevy. Had alot of fun with it , then moved on to A production before it turned to GT1. Good luck

Hey Paul, long time! I saw that your thread was trending in an email from NastyZ28.

I haven't seen you at the past few nationals and didn't know if you were still working on your Camaro. Everything looks like it is coming together nicely, are you going to have it ready for next season?

Cheers,
JJ

I’m hoping it is ready. I decided to skip nationals in order to put that time and money into the car. I really want my next time there to be in my Camaro.

Thanks for the kind words! I'd love to see pictures of your '78 if you have them.

Tape became poster board and poster board became 18 gauge steel.

This was the first cut and bend. Some trimming and tweaking is needed, but I'm really happy with how the first fit went. This will be bolted in so that it is removable for service.

A friend of mine asked me how I bent it. My response: "clamps, roll cage tubing, ratchet straps, a welding tank, my gut, and Kate standing on the workbench holding things down."

Fantastic build. Very similar to My 1971 Chevelle CP build that I started in 2003 and am just now getting back to. Quick question: can you tell me what the part# is for the Howe lower control arms you are running in the front?

Gladly!

They are from Howe Racing. PN 22962 & 22962L. "Lower A, CO 17" RS Monoball RND Tubing W/O Spacers-Screw In BJ"

I can't seem to find them on their site, but I bet you could call and get them. They are designed for the 2nd gen chassis. I had to modify the shock mount (narrower) and sway bar mounts (to a non-circle track style).
