I haven't updated this thread in a little while, all in all I've been relaxing. I pushed so hard to get the car painted so now I've taken a little break knowing the car won't be driveable until the spring time. With that being said, I am planning on wet sanding and polishing next weekend. Here's what I've been up to :

LOTS of money sitting on that table

Finally put my heads on. It's a shame my valve covers won't actually work with the LS3 heads

Final engine spec is 6.0, LS3 heads, TSP 225/230/110LSA cam, ARP bolts, cometic head gaskets, 98 LS1 camaro pan. Going to use a victor JR and a demon 750 carb I have. Heads were milled .020 with standard .051 head gaskets. I wanted thinner head gaskets but with -.009 piston to deck clearance my quench comes in at .042 which is apparently ideal or close to it.

Started restoring my interior panels, first step is removing the white house paint. I used a plastic scraper and some chemical stripper (same I used for my body panels). I don't let the stripper sit on long at all. Worked like a charm.

Unfortunately the texture on many spots has been removed. I am currently sanding panels smooth with my DA and going to try a SEM texture coat product followed by SEM landeau black and low luster clear coat on all interior surfaces.

Mocked up the front end for a couple photos. Going to submit one of them for the Nasty calender, unless I get a better photo before the deadline.

Haven't updated my thread in a week but I've been working hard on it as always. I finished my plastics off in SEM Landeau Black followed by some of the low luster clear coat. I will do my dash this week too. I am very satisfied with the product. The texture material I used closely replicates stock texture. These plastics were all awful looking and now they look good enough for this spring at least.

I also started wetsanding and polishing the car using the 3M perfect it system here. I've uploaded a short video giving you guys a look at some before and after results:

On the passenger side I will provide a much nicer video for y'all. The door came out amazing. I prefer to actually do this process with no tape and being very careful when sanding. After it is sanded I do the edges by hand, then blend them all in with the buffer. It will be hard to tell on how good the result is until I see it in the sun but it's looking good.

Door done:

Do any of you have any suggestions on how to do the hood and trunk with stripes ? I am very scared about the 1/4" stripe and am thinking I will just stay way clear of them.

Also got some junk at a swap meet for $100 !!!!:
