I don't have a ___ BUT i wish I did cause they look so dead gum good.

Just out of curiousity...

I've noticed this term used a few times on the board recently... "Dead Gum"

Is this a regional usage of which neither the "Urban Dictionary" nor myself is aware or an inside joke that I missed?

I find no usage anywhere of the term "Dead gum" except in reference to ABC (already been chewed) gum.

Urban Dictionary

dad gum

Modification of the term g*d d@mn. Comes from the midwest, as near as I can tell - my grandfather (an Illinois native) used to say it a lot.

Note the term is always used as an adjective, and NEVER as a verb. So you can have a dad gum toll booth attendant, but you don't dad gum the toll booth attendant. The only exception to this rule is that "Dad gummit" is a suitable substitute for "g*dd@mmit"

Dad gummit anyway! Quit yer chompin' that dead gum and gimme the dad gum wreckin' bar!

Dad Gum is correct.
In the Midwest kids still have Dads,,,, so when other regions embrace it, they have never heard of a "Dad" so they rationalize it to be Dead Gum.
