I was wondering about that hole the last time I was reading through your thread. Glad you got around to making the repair. One less thing for you to worry about I'm sure. Looking good.

Thanks! Pretty much had to wait for warmer weather. Hopefully I can get this finished Saturday!

Well the weather wasn't the warmest yesterday so I didn't get much done. Did clean the garage up some. Then I had a problem. When I went to start and drive it back into the garage, it stalled out and now won't restart. The battery was low so I put it on charge for a bit, but when I turn the key it drains right down and won't even turn the starter. Not sure what the problem is. I did notice that the tach goes to about 2000 when I turn the key to the on position, so I don't know what I going to do now. The battery is an old one & the cables are quite frayed. I think I'll pick up new leads and a new battery anyways. We're going out of town today, but it's supposed to be sunny and warmer tomorrow. Any ideas????

Sounds like a bad battery. Might want to get a maintainer for the new one, if you don't already have one. Prevents early death from sitting un-run for too long.

Don't sweat it, these things happen and it's minor next to all you've already done.

Thanks for the advice. Picked up a new battery this afternoon & getting some leads later. I'll get a maintainer/tender before the fall. I was hoping the battery would hold out longer, but it was an older blemished one and the leads have been shortened a couple of times. Will try to get it in by morning!

Well I put the new battery cables in this morning and I figured I might as well give the battery tray a touch-up while I'm at it:

Now while I'm waiting for that to dry, I think I'll slide back under and try to clean the tranny & shifter rods up, then try to re-adjust them. We'll see how that goes!:D

Well it seems that it was stuck in first, lubed everything up and it shifts thru all 4 gears & into reverse now. I think I'll drop her back on the ground, install the new battery & see if she'll start.

Well battery is in, starts no problem, changed the oil & filter while it was in the air. Blower doesn't work, neither do the power windows now, they did until yesterday. I'll have to look at that later. Right now I have to put her back on the ground and clean-up to go out.
