I'm going to try and spend some time in the shop every night. Tonight I was able to drill out and separate the rotted piece form the inner fender. I made a new template and I'll check it to the rotted piece and cut a new piece of metal tomorrow night. I tried hand forming one, but it didn't work out. I made a homemade brake, so I'm going to try that out instead.

I took my template from the other night and fine tuned it to the part:

I'm going to try and make it from two pieces, one large one with a 90 degree bend and the other with a slight bend in it. The 90 degree also need to have a lip put on it, not sure how yet, still have to make a slapper!

Now to cut out the metal!

Bet that little brake makes things easier. Now you'll end up with the car on blocks and tore down for the fun of it. lol
Love the new abode too. On the water with a dock. It just doesnt get any better in my books. Of course, I tend to spend alot time on the water and am an avid angler. Put it in my backyard and it may end up in divorce. lol
I gave up on the project thread. I never remember to take pics, but the car is coming along good. Just a total brake job and it's in for cert. Prop valve, master, cylinders, all of it is going. Might even have the parts around to convert to rear disc.

Car looks great, keep at er.

The brake worked great. Didn't get anything done today as I worked late today. Thanks on the house, the water is distracting, but in a nice way! Glad to hear your car's coming along!
