Deeeeeer!!!!

That is all I heard my passenger screaming the other night cruising down I90 about 6 miles west of Mitchel, SD. We were on our way to SD certified Fire Instructors class and smashed into a 180-200 lb doe at about 55-60 mph. I was goind 75 when I hith the brakes. I think I must have pushed her about 20 feet and then ran her over. My avalanche is totoally messed up in the front. I will need a new bumber, hood, grill, lights, fender, radiator and whatever else they find.

This bugged the crap out of me I can't seem to get one with an arrow that can fly at 300 fps but give me a truck cruising at 75 mph and they want to jump out in front of me. ahhhhhh!!!

Oh well no one was hurt other than the deer, she was dead on impact.

Oh by the way I yelled "DEER!" when I was a passenger, but there was no Deer and I was joking....the end result was not funny.

What do you mean....you have tons of fun going across such areas. you just look out the window and see corn corn corn corn ...beans corn corn corn corn beans....... well at least you do in the summertime. now it's just field after field hmmm kinda like ND

Yea glad that wasnt the camaro man. One of my 3 HS accidents was me hitting a deer with my 79 Z28. I did all I could, but I wasnt going to risk swerving. Not when I was as green of a driver that I was. Luckily the camaro didnt get damaged badly, but it has never been show worthy again. Just dont have the money to fix it.

Is this a common problem...the deers??
Do you get in trouble for knocking a deer?
There's a place here in the Eastern Cape, mountainous area with a pass. Lots of wild cattle, goats and bush pigs etc. If you hit one you'll get arrested!!

Deer is the plural of deer. In certain areas deer are quite a problem. The DNR manages the population through the number of hunting permits. Nobody gets in trouble for killing a deer with the car. Most people only tell the police if they are claiming the damage on their insurance.

my neighbor just cracked up her focus hitting one. they get worse around here every year. they need more doe days.
