Hello all does anyone have a parts list or some sort of an exploded view of the drip rail mouldings?
I know some cars had them and some didn’t but I’d like to know if I even have all the parts I need. 1970-1973

Thanks

You need 22A and 24A below.

The moldings install first, then the weatherstrip channels over them. On a 1972, yours should be stainless steel. In 1973 Gm started to use plastic moldings that snapped on the roof lip. Later (1979??) GM again used metal drip rails but now made of anodized aluminum.

Thank you for that. That’s very very helpful.
I also have a black trim channel that I’m assuming the weather strip goes into ?

If I didn’t want the moulding then I’m assuming it’s just the black channel piece ?

Also why is that small part 24a so hard to fit ? Does a moulding edge from the other trim overlap ?

Thanks again

OER produces the vertical pieces. (Search on "OER 748567")

Not shown in the diagram above is a corner piece for the weatherstrip channel.

I don't think these parts are reproduced.

Does anyone have the order for these ?
Thanks twisted I have those pieces I just can’t make sense of it since it seems like the pieces overlap

The drip rail pieces are sandwiched between the body and weather strip channel.

Here's a video which shows the installation of the weather strip channel. (without drip rails)

This one shows a little more detail on installing the drip edge.
(Before putting the weatherstrip channel back in place.)

Yes... The two drip rail pieces DO overlap a bit.

Fast Forward to 12:45 to see installed drip rails. Full screen will show the overlap.

My drip rails were powder coated black 30 years ago.

This shows the fitting of the two pieces from two angles

Should have dusted the car first.
