I brought the engine back and am in the process of installing it, the 350 Turbo transmission is also done and attached to the rebuilt 400 that came with the 1970 Camaro. I thought about allot of options for the power plant from a ZZ454 to a 350 crate engine. I followed advice from a friend and went with a builder here in Las Vegas. He says it will produce 500 HP but we'll see, cost was more than I wanted but that is nothing new. I am happy with it. The pulleys have been a problem but it looks like it is working out, they installed a thicker timing chain cover and the original pulley brackets would not fit so I went with a aluminum billet aftermarket set.

Did they offer a dyno, break-in session? Or do they have a dyno.

Almost a given when you start having enough $$$ in a build.

^^^this

if I'm spending any kind of real $$$ on a motor I want to know what it'll do

and if it's a flat tappet cam it had better be broken in

They do not have a dyno but they did break it in and set the timing. It has rollers in it, not a flat tappet. I agree, I should have told them to dyno it but it was another $500.00.
