Last night I slept in my own bed for the first time in 12 days.

They turned the power back on yesterday afternoon. I've got a new appreciation for having electricity, you don't realize until it's gone how important it is to have A/C, working refrigerator/freezers, lights, fans, etc.

A lot of folks around here are still without power, we got lucky they decided to work on my end of town first.

Now back to life as usual, I've got plenty of work to do on the cars.

Glad you and the family are alright. Did you get much damage to the house?
No damage at all to the house.
Just a bunch of trees and limbs down, & no power for a week and a half ='s a bunch of ruined food in the fridge. :(

I bet you are glad to be back at home....I know that I rest better in my own bed. Sounds like you made out good...minus losing the food in the fridge.
