Anyone done it? I've got a spacer and a fan, can I use the stock clutch? Anything I should watch out for?

You don't use a clutch with a flex fan. You need the right length spacer that positions the flex fan half in/out of the fan shroud.
No cluch just the right spacer.

Agreed. Either clutch with stock (fixed pitch) fan or flex fan mounted direct, not a combination of the two.
Bolt pattern between the stock fan and flex fan should be different enough that it's obvious what will work with what.

You will also need to find the right length bolts too once you find the correct length spacer. Three hands installing these helps too. 
You NEED the Clutch and the Original fan.
