F'n UHAUL!

Has anyone EVER rented something from UHAUL without a problem? Has anyone EVER had a good experience? Holy sh!t I hate that company.

So some of you know I made my reservation online and cancelled it and they wouldn't refund all of my money...O.K. So I CALL 1800GOUHAUL to make my reservation, pay only the $5.00 reservation fee, and get told to pick it up from Quinteros on Saturday morning at 8. (It's a tire shop here in Coolidge). Cool...No problem. So I get up EARLY and head to the shop and they've got a BIG SIGN that says "CLOSED SATURDAY AND SUNDAY" WTF? I wait around 45 mins and leave. Now I have to call UHAUL and find one somewhere.

Awesome...I can either pick one up at 4pm or tomorrow...awesome...And I need to go to the hospital now (friends are having a baby)...Anyway, I'm taking my laptop with me...Maybe they'll have wireless?

So are you picking up the 77 from torkair? I talked to him the other night and he says the car is sitting on flats, if you need, let me know I can bring you a compressor if you dont have one, Jim

hehehe. . .dude that actually happened to me when I rented one for a motor transport a few years ago. I called uhaul and chewed their A$$ good. Glad it worked out!

I think it's all gonna work out. We've been at the hospital all day, but I'll go pick up the trailer in the morning. Tork's been really understanding and hopefully tomorrow everything will go smooth. I can't wait to have a car that has a TITLE...I'm so sick of the MVD.

So did you get the car? Wife says torkair called, but by the time I got done with my tire fiasco I figured if you got the car, you guys were done, if not youd call again. Jim

We got it (Thanks torq!) Yeah, I'd called too actually. We got 'er loaded onto the trailer O.K. Some of the tires are just BEYOND repair. Now it's time to strip everything I need off of my 79 Z and get it out of here. This one will be a much better platform to work off of. The body's alot straighter than the 79Z, and it'll look respectable in primer...Now the question:

Do I want to make it a rubber bumper car OR do I want to make it a split bumper (fakie RS cuz I like the turn signals below the bumperettes!)

do the fake rs you see alot less of the early years. I got to talking to this guy about wheels and he was suppose to call before he came over, but he showed up when I was out and wanted to swap tires early. I ended up giving him my street stars and tires for his 8 inch ralleys and tires. But I had my 5 spoke Z wheels getting new tires installed because I wasnt sure if he was going to call. So we installed the 8 inch ralleys on the el camino, the street stars on his elky, then I had to go and get the Z wheels and pulled the ralleys back off the el camino and painted and installed the Z wheels on the elky. I don't know Jerry, they just seem to pop up everywhere when your least expecting it. Funny thing is I dont need another set of ralleys, but I figure if anything theyre great stuff to have for horsetrading. Glad to hear your camaro fired up. Jim
