I am making up a carb feed line from braided hose and a Y fitting for a Holley 800 DP. I've read various posts that say Holleys are susceptible to dirt in the fuel lines (getting caught in the screen and messing up the flow), and the if filtered properly they shouldn't have any issues.

Is the fuel filter that is between the fuel tank and electric fuel pump sufficient, or should I be looking to add an inline filter or possibly a cannister filter - after the regulator? Or maybe just a better filter between the pump and the fuel tank?

Also - what size filter is sufficient: 10 / 40 / 100 microns, etc?

I've ran the Mallory Comp filter between the cell and the pump forever and never had any issues. Also ran the Fram HPG1 canister filter on the race car and never any problems there either.
Best advice I can give is make 1000000000% sure you blow all the debris out of those braided lines BEFORE you assemble any of the system. It's amazing now much steel braid can get trapped inside those lines. THAT will trash your gearotor pump in a heartbeat!!!
