My buddy is parting out an 84 mustang he bought last year that he basically lost interest in. I was offered a MSD 6AL, an Autometer 5" monster tach w/ shift light and matching oil pressure and water temp (in 2 something"). I have a couple questions:
MSD 6AL:
I still have HEI, IIRC this'll work for it (right)? Now, it has a 6K pill which I'm thinking should work out good for me since I shift @ a max of 5500. I'll ask for a detailed wiring diagram later (as long as it works for what I have), but for now can someone give me a quick run through on it?
Tach:
Mount it on the steering wheel? I have a small sunpro tach mounted on my left side of my megashifter and I'm getting tired of looking down to see what my RPMs are. Short of buying an actual light cover, what can I use to as a cover - NOT DUCT TAPE!
I'm planning on mounting the oil pressure and water temp gauges where my old ones are; right below the CD player.
