Yes, supers. No ground clearance issues.

Not sure on the 1.75s but the Hedmans fit snug to the underbody on my car. I went with Pypes race pro transvers set up. Sounds great and looks great.

No, I did not. And it's Iron heads with angle plugs, no issues.

as a bunch of others stated a good quality X-pipe will do wonders with what ever you choose.

I ended up buying the Hooker Super Comp headers. For those who have these, did you use the gaskets that came with them or is there a better option? I want to avoid leaks and it looks like I will have to trim a little around the ports to match my aluminum heads. Any suggestions on the best gaskets and the best way to match the port sizes?

great luck with FelPro 1444. Doubled them up, glued on head, bolted down and ported to match. used a litlle copper sealer, no leaks.
