I'm in the process of changing the heater hoses on my '75 Camaro with A/C. The one heater hose is simple to change and can be done from the engine compartment. The second hose doesn't look so easy. It runs between the inner fender and the under the case for the heater and A/C (or at least at the bottom of it). It looks fairly involved to remove the case. Can someone please tell where and how to get to this heater hose connection? I'm hoping that there is an easy way!!

Thanks....

I guessing your 75 is like my 79 - good news is that you don't have to pull the dog house(ac box), bad news is that you will have to drop the inner fender to change this hose. It's really not that bad of a deal, takes me about 3 cold ones to R&R. Make sure you spend the extra .02 for a quality hose and clamps, you'll be glad you did.

Thanks for the info. Someday I would like to talk to the engineers that design these things to ask them why they did what they did. It's like changing oil on the Trail Blazers, you can't do it without getting oil down your arm. Since this hose is 30 years old, I'm don't want to trust it on the road. To get the car running, I think I will plug off the connections on the motor.

That's called bypassing the heater core- and can work real well in July- but maybe not the best idea in late September or early May or a late-night rainstorm where the incoming air is much cooler than what you started with- i.e. sometimes you need or want the heater to work.
