oopps!! I cut one full coil out of the bottom of my Hotchkis big block springs and now my car is too low. I was looking for about an inch to inch and a half but what I got was 2 1/2"
Can I install a rubber donut looking thing to the top of the spring? I need the finish height to be back up 1 1/4" from where it is now.

I've seen this happen a few times on here, you can use a coil spring spacer but im not 100% sure how much it will raise it it depends on what type of spacer.

I too, cut too much off my springs (stock ones) and it was about 1" too low, But instead of using spacers I clocked in the spring to where the end the spring was above and past the LCA pocket instead of actually being in the LCA pocket. It gave me just about a 1" gain in height that I needed and works perfectly fine for me.:innocent:

Energy suspension sells a urethane shim that I used in the LCA and it gave me .75" ride height increase. I too, cut a full coil from hotchkis springs. THe .75" bump brought me up enough to drive the car. PM me if you want details.

I cut too much spring in my Monte a few years back. I ended up putting a couple spacers into the spring and it worked like a charm. Nice thing was I could take them out at the show and give the car a bad looking raked look. They just twist right into the springs. They come in different sizes. I used two for my application.

I fixed all of this permanently with QA1s. Now I adjust ride height where I want it.

David.
