My original has a worn driver post and it just turns inside the wiper arm. I ordered a new one from a vendor and it arrived missing the pin that the link connects to on the drivers side wiper arm. I called to ask about it and was told they don't come with that post. They also said they don't sell that part separately or know where it can be found. The arrow in my picture below points to the hole that pin would be in.

Does anyone know if the old pin on the original assembly can be removed to use there?

I did buy a really nice condition one on ebay today. Pictures of the splines looked as good as new and it was half the price of the new one.

Would a button head cap screw work?
Obviously it has threads, but how often do you drive in the rain?
Tack weld on the back side.
I have no idea about interference, so that would need to be checked before hand.

Just went out and tried to remove my pin and yes they will come out just use a small punch from the rear side and tap directly in the center and it will move (probably just a knurled pin). hope this helps!

Thank you for that info. I had paid $149 for that new linkage that I sent back. At the time I was dissapointed about it not being complete and the sellers lack of concern they are selling a part that can't be used in it's present form. Since my original is no longer usuable I could use mine to get that pin.

I don't think the screw would work. That arm has to be free to move to make that blade track correctly.

I try not to drive in the rain as much as possible, but I live in the Houston area. It rains here quite a bit. If the weather forcast is 20%, it's the area I happen to be in at the time. :( (It's thunder in the background as a type this.)

Use as a stud tack welded on the back side. I'm not sure if you would need something on the top. Just a idea. It sounds like you can punch the old one out and insert it in the new one if I read that correctly in previous posts.
